Believer Demon
CAN A BELIEVER HAVE A DEMON?
This is the million dollar question!
WELCOME TO PASTOR DR. CARLOTTA'S COUNSELING CENTER.
The issue of demonic activity against a believer has caused more theological hairs to be split than any other doctrine. A believer must ask him or herself this question: if it is not possible, then why does the Word of God warn us so clearly about the danger? Secondly, the believer must research God's Word for themself to draw their own conclusion. The Scriptures listed below speak and clearly as a warning to believers; study them carefully.
Galatians believers were bewitched: "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?" Galations 3:1
Give the devil a house to live in: "Neither give place to the devil." Ephesians 4:27
Single women returned to Satan: "But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. And withal they learn to be idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan." 1 Timothy 5:11-15.
Satan can bind believers with unforgiveness: "To whom ye forgive anything, I forgive also: For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." 2 Corinthians 2:10-11
Mind blinding demons: "But their minds were blind: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the Old Testament: which veil is done away in Christ." 2 Corthians 3:14.
"Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the gods of this world hath blind the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:1-4.
Christians receiving another spirit: "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtley, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well hear with him." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Christians battle thought demons: "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;" 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Peter had a devil: "Then Peter took him, and begin to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. But he turned and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men." Matthew 16:22-23
Judas had a demon: "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. The said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believer and are sure that thou are that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, one of the twelve." John 6:66-71
"Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doests, do quickly." John 13:26-27
THE DEVIL'S "FULL MEAL DEAL" "Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you, Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:7-8
If you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior simply say in an audible voice, in all sincerity from the depths of your heart, "Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me of my sins and accept me as Your child. I accept You as my personal Savior and I promise to follow the instructions of Your Word from this day on. If I fail because I am human, please help pick me up so I can try again! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me from all my sins. AMEN."
Go with God and be Blessed!
