Give Everything To Jesus

Mediate on this: How much better is it to relax and give our life to God. This is one sure way to be able to deal with things in life much better. He is the ONLY one who can really make something beautiful out of it anyway. We can trust God not to take advantage of us when we release our life into His hands. He will guide us into the exact place where we can develop to our full potential. And the bonus is that we will have peace in our heart and a sense of fulfillment in our soul while it is all going on.

Oh, there will be problems! But when we have the basic agreement worked out between us and God, as to who the Boss is, it leaves us free to concentrate all of our God-given abilities on the challenges of life. There is no other life that even approaches that of having God as a Savior Partner!

"Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him; for he careth for you" I Peter 5:5,7.

God isn't afraid to exalt us when we are ready for it. That eliminates all the scratching and clawing we feel the successful person must do to climb the ladder of success. We don't sit around feeling frustrated because we aren't becoming the great earth shaker we envisioned ourselves becoming.

When we learn what God is teaching us, He will exalt us as we are able to handle it. This makes it possible to appreciate and enjoy what he gives us to the fullest extent. Paul wrote, "...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him" I Corinthians 2:9. That isn't just talking about Heaven, It also includes the here and now.

Jesus said that God clothes the lilies of the field. Lilies never get-up-tight worrying about what color they should be or when to open their petals because God care for them. How much more will He care for us. So just relax. If we want to drive ourselves in searching for something, why not go for righteous, godliness, faith, love patience and meekness as Paul suggests above. If we want a good fight why not the good fight of faith

This my friends are how we should handle things better in our lives. Blessings.

One of the problems within the Body of Christ today is that we do not have many servants! We have a lot of preachers, but not many servants. Read Philippians 2:19-21. Paul is saying, the only person he could send them was Timothy, because he was the only one available who would be concerned about them and not about his pocket-book.

Timothy had singleness of heart, so did Paul. Both, Paul and Timothy considered themselves servants. When you are a servant, God can use you because you will be faithful. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4:2 that faithfulness is required of a steward, a servant of God. There is no higher calling in life than to be a servant of God and to be faithful or single-minded.

But you cannot be this kind of servant until you are full of the life and nature of God, until you have the mind of Christ. Paul talks about another attribute of a servant of God in Romans chp. 1. He says we are to live a separated life, to be separated unto the Gospel of God.

Now some people have a funny idea of what that means. Time and time again you have heard people say something like, "I am free, I do not have to go to church. I have liberty. Jesus told me to stand fast in the liberty where with Christ made me free. I am not going to be entangled in the yoke of bondage again. Nobody is going to put bondage on me."

When did going to church become bondage? Paul said: "All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient" 1 Co. 6:12. Also, when some people say they are free, apparently they mean they are free to sin, to do things they do not need to be doing. They feel that this means that they are free; therefore, they are free to talk bad or that they can go to the bar and drink a few glasses of whiskey.

The Bible tells us that being made free from sin; we become servants of God. Our fruit comes forth unto holiness and the end is everlasting life! We have been made free, not to sin not to do our own thing, but to become a servant of God. We are not free to do anything that we might want to do.

Before we were recreated, we did not have a choice. Our nature caused us to sin and we were in bondage to Satan. Now we are free NOT TO SIN! This is what true freedom is. Being a servant is freedom. Read Romans 6:22.

Jesus had the attitude of a servant. Matthew 10:24-25 tells us that the disciple is not above his master, nor is he above his servant. People get the inflated idea that because they have been placed in a certain office in the Body of Christ, or operate in certain gifts of the Spirit, that they are something great. This is not the truth. Jesus said, "The disciple is as his master, the servant as his Lord."

Now that we realize that we are a servant, and that is who we are, our funstion does not matter because the function is determined by the Master. We are not viewed in relationship to our function but viewed in our relationship to our Master. What we do, and how we function does not matter. When we are viewed in relationship to God, He will cause us to function in whatever capacity He needs at that given point in time.

We might function primarily as a teacher in the body. We are not a teacher, we are a servant. If we get a mind-set on, "I am a teacher, I am a teacher, I am a teacher," and believe that is all we are, we have just cut our self off from God using us in any other way except as a teacher.

When we say we are a servant, our function becomes determined by the Master and not by ourself. God may have us function as a teacher, or as an apostle, or as a prophet. No matter how we function, we are servants. People need to understand and recognize where they primarily function, but the easiest way of doing it is by realizing their status as servants. When they begin to operate as servants, they begin to serve God in the way which He desires. Their function will not remain the same. It will constantly change.

In Acts 9, Paul was called as an apostle. In Acts 13, he was separate. That was not long, just fifteen years. He was called, then fifteen years later separated to the office or ministry he had been called into. In fact, after he was called of God, the first thing he did was witness. Then he served as a teacher. Then he function as a prophet.

After that, God thrust him out into what he had been called to do fifteen years before.

If you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior simply say in an audible voice, in all sincerity from the depths of your heart, "Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me of my sins and accept me as Your child. I accept You as my personal Savior and I promise to follow the instructions of Your Word from this day on. If I fail because I am human, please help pick me up so I can try again! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me from all my sins. AMEN."

Through a study of the atonement we can see very clearly that God's will is to heal His people. Is healing for everybody? YES! Emphatically, yes. Healing is for every WHO WANTS IT. Anything that was purchased on Calvary was purchased for anybody and everybody. Saying that God will heal some but not others is like saying He will save some and not others.

II Peter 3:9 NKJV "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering toward us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." It is certain that God wants all people to come to repentance. We know this is true because we have been taught what is right in that circumstance. Physical healing is as much a part of the Atonement as forgiveness of sin. Likewise the Atonement also offered healing to all who were in need.

COMMON OBJECTIONS: This is a good time to discuss some of the more common misconceptions or objections to healing today. One of the most widespread misconceptions about healing is that, although God is able to heal anyone, He often withholds that healing so He can somehow gain glory. It is said that God is glorified by the patient suffering of the sick person.

These people view sickness as a blessing because some good may possibly result from it. "While I was in the hospital, people were saved through my witnessing." Read Romans 8:28. God can, without a doubt, cause some good to come even though the circumstances that precipitated it were completely bad. God is merciful:

He can turn any situation around whether or not it looks possible. But because He has that ability, does not mean that He intentionally gives or allows trials or tragedies into our lives so we can learn to patiently endure them, or so some other benefit can come. God does not send diseases. And sickness is only a divine appointment when the Holy Spirit has sent you to heal it!

The two major passages that people use to hold up the idea that God does or allows horrible things to happen so we can be blesses are about Paul's thorn and Job problems. Let's take a look at each of them to see why these common misconceptions are made. Job first! Paul will be presented on my next Hub.

WHAT ABOUT JOB? Christian people have been taught for years that Job suffered so much because God pointed him out to Satan. We've been told God gave, Satan permission to work on Job, to see if he would break down and curse God. We have been taught that God sent the devil after Job for some unknown mysterious purpose, and we can never know what that might have been.

This misunderstanding is terribly unfortunate because it makes God's people think they are having a "Job experience" when things get far out of hand. Job's story, however, does now support for the theory that God desires some of us to be sick, so we can become better Christian.

Let's see what really happened to Job. Read Job, Chapter 1,2 and 3.

On a day when the angels were presenting themselves to God, Satan came among them. God said to satan, "Where have you come from?" Since God knows everything (and He does) we know this must be a leading question.

Satan's answer was classic: "Oh, um no where really. I've just been cruising around the earth, you know, sort of checking out the one's you know, heh, heh, heh.... God's next question, stupid or leading: you decide: "Have you considered my servant Job? It s quite clear that God knows full well Satan has been up to, and that he has indeed been doing alot more than considering His servant Job.

Satan immediately gives away the truth that he actually has been putting quite a bit of effort in on Job, and knows quite a lot about him. "Hey, it ain't for nothing Job fears you, God. Look at him! You have blessed everything he's put his hand on, and he's one of the greatest of men in the east. "God obviously did not point Job out to Satan and give permission to go give him a hard time!

Satan then tries to talk God into coming down on Job by trying to make a bet with God, using Job as bait. "You put forth your hand against him, and he will curse you to your face." Satan tried to talk God into doing that to His man, but God didn't do it.

Job's faith had given him the hedge of protection around everything he had, but Job had been pulling in the boundaries of his faith, because he was worried about his kids. By the time attack came again, Job had pulled in the boundaries of faith until the only thing he could believe for was staying alive, nothing more. Job's friends came along and told him God did all this to him because he was not as righteous as he had been letting people think all this time.

Throughout the whole encounter, Job maintained that this stuff was happening to him and it was not supposed to be. By the time we get to the 42nd chapter of Job, we hear God tell the four friends that they needed to go ask Job to pray for them, because He said. "You guys have spoken wrong about me." What had they said? They'd said God was responsible.

Satan is the real source of sickness and disease. Read John 10:10. It is revealed but not elaborated in the first three chapters of Job. In order to get the revelation of this by reading Job, we must read the book with our brains in gear, and our religious filters turned off. if we read it again filling in the blanks with what we have been taught, we will come to the same erroneous conclusions as the people who taught us error.

In fact, it will be the same conclusions that were reached by Jobs friends. God said that Job's friends had spoken wrong about Him, and that they needed to repent. If they needed to repent for that kind of thinking, how much more do we?

The real source of our redemption from sickness is Jesus. Under the New Covenant, nobody can say his or her affliction is from God. We cannot even say,

"The Lord has given and the Lord has taken away." We know that He is not the taker, or the withholder. The Word is clear, He is the rewarder and the blesser.

The idea that God places sickness on us, either by direct interference or by tacit permission being granted, is drastically opposite to the facts laid out in scripture. He is the healer, the blesser and the caretaker.

AMEN."

It is a sad commentary on the age in which we live that so many members of the Body of Christ think that bondage to sinful habits is normal for the Christian life. God did not put the old man to death so we could continue to serve him. He did not crucify us with Christ to see us flounder helplessly in sinful habits.

God set us free on the inside so we could have complete mastery over sin, and over the enticement of the flesh and the devil. I Thessalonians 4:7: "For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness." It is our manner of life that separates us from the world, not our superior attitude. We are sanctified (made holy) on the inside, and that which is on the inside of us works its way out into our daily walk.

To the Apostle Paul, a Christian bound by sin was something abnormal. "Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? " Romans 6:2 Paul, considered a believer bound by sin to be a believer who denied that God had done anything at all inside him. Paul constantly encourage believers to walk according to what God has done inside them. Read I Corinthians 6:19, Ephesians 4:1, and Ephesians 5:8. Because of what God has done inside us, we are FREE to choose.

Read Romans 7:14-25. This is a vividly clear picture of a person bound in sin. This person does not have the freedom to choose to do what is right. He is completely trapped into dong what is wrong, even though he doesn't particularly want to do it. By putting to death the old man, God restores to us the right to choose between righteousness and sin.

He did not make it mandatory that we choose right. He made it possible for us to choose right. This is the same ability to choose that Adam had in the Garden Of Eden. Jesus came to do away with the old nature. When that happened, sin and righteousness is before every believer, every moment, every day.

The devil is constant in his effort to tempt us to choose wrongly, but the choice is still ours, no matter how strong the temptation may be. We can choose to follow the leading of our regenerated spirit, or we can choose to follow the dictates of out flesh. We have, as children of God, the right to choose.

After Paul tell us we are dead to sin, he goes on to show us the choice before us. Romans 6:12,13 "Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires. Do not let any part of your body become a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning. Instead, give yourselves completely to God since you have been given new life. And use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the Glory of God."

All the power to walk above sin has been given to us, but it is then up to us wjether or not we will allow sin to reign in out mortal bodies."

When we are confronted with an enticement to sin, it is difficult to remember that we do have a choice. Satan tries to convince us that sinning is inevitable. Satan will also quote scripture (Out of context) to prove that there is nothing we can do but sin. Remember that Satan is a liar, and there is no truth in him. "Yeah but this time he is right," is never true!

The truth s that you are always free to choose between sin and righteousness, because the old man is DEAD! If this were not true, Paul's exhortation would have no validity at all. Paul exhorts us to choose because we actually do have that freedom through Christ's work on the cross.

Read Romans 6:16,19. Each of us will be the servant of the one to whom we present ourselves. If we present ourselves to obey the desires of sin, we will be sin's servants. If we present ourselves to God on a daily basis, we will be called servants of God and of righteousness. Romans 12:1 NKJV....

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." Because God has restored to us our free will, we have the right to present ourselves to God as servantsof righteousness. We are FREE to do this because of what Jesus has done! THANK YOU JESUS!!! THANK YOU!

Hello and WELCOME to Pastor Dr. Carlotta's Counseling Center.

Faith is that invisible force that links us to God and the supernatural (He. 11:1). It is that eye that sees and believe in God. It is that hand that clings to Him and receives His promises. Is is the foot that threads in the narrow way to meet the Master on the other side of the dark alley.

Faith is one of the most important spiritual ingredients because it is impossible to communicate with the Lord without it! Therefore, we have to learn to develope a personal faith that is based on God's written Word, a faith rooted in the thoughts of God which are revealed to us as His Word illuminates and transforms our natural mind. This kind of faith is supernaturally oriented. It cultivates eternal perspective, which enables us to explore the mysteries of God, His love, goodness and perfect will for us as His children.

Each one of us has a certain measure of faith, and it is upon this faith that more faith is built. We should allow our faith to be fully born within us and, like a precious child, we should protect it, feed it and let it grow into maturity (ls. 28:10). Taking care of our faith we must program the mind with God's Word! When allowed to work, it instills God's thoughts within us, which in turn makes us see things His way. Our faith is shaped by what we feed it.

We have to confess God's thoughts that are in line with His Word. Acknowledging God is very important because what wer speak forth affects our faith and our subconscious. Words are constructive. Using the power of our imagination is a gift from the God. When we envision something in our mind, we make it more real, and it helps our faith to reach for it and to grasp it!

Put your faith into practice. This will make it stronger and more useful (He. 11:6; Mt. 17:20-21). Learn to stand in faith always(2Co. 1:24; 1Co. 16:13). Stand fast, be brave, and be strong. Learn to live by faith alone, walk by faith and not by sight. (2Co. 5:7; Ga. 3:11; Ro. 1:17). The just shall live by faith! If we want to be a winer in life, we have to be a person of faith. A person with a positive outlook and a positive faith of live.

COME EAT WITH ME! The Correct Spiritual Diet

WELCOME, TO Dr. Pastor Carlotta Boles Counseling Center. We all need spiritual food to strengthen out inner being. As physical food gives life to our bodies, so does our spiritual food to our spirit. God's word should always be the main course because with it comes the rest of the most important nutrients that our inner being needs.

God's uses His word to transmit His thoughts, to illuminate our minds, to reveals His will and wisdom to us, and to give life, healing and powder to us. Through His word, He provides practical solutions to life's challenges and problems. Through His word, He provides solutions that guarantee true success to bring up our family, run our business and establish our values in life. God's word helps us put things into proper focus in relation to His infinite wisdom.

True discipleship is obedience to the teachings of the Master. His teachings are mainly to point us to the way of life that will liberate us from our own slavery into the perfect freedom that only comes from the Master. Knowing the truth will set us free, free from the worries of this world. Through His word, we learn to trust Him as a Father! Jn. 8:31-32.

Let God revive our spirit to His way of living and thinking according to His word. We will see things differently if our mind is tuned to God's wavelength. "Revive me and give me life." Let this be our prayer as we read His word daily. Ps. 119:154. This is the only way of receiving God's faith by hearing God's word. God is behind His word. He gives it power to quicken our spirits when we commune with Him and to feed our minds with His infinite wisdom. This kind of faith helps us to change our lives and the lives of those around us. Rom. 10:17.

WE KEEP God's word because we love Him. That should be the main reason. When we let God's word influence our lives, then we create favorable conditions for the Lord to abide in our lives. Then we will express God's life in our daily life. Jn. 14:23. This is the secret of answered prayer! You have to let God's word shape your life. Let it become a total part of you to the point that God's will and desires become yours. This will deepen your intimacy with the Lord..."then ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" Jn. 15:16. Try it and see Jn 15:7.

God's word will build you up not only spiritually but also in every other area of your life. This is a self-actualized life, the highest form of true success that can only come from God. In the Bible we find that Joseph and Daniel had this kind of success. Everywhere they went, success was waiting for them, even in the midst of enemies, repression, confusion, persecution and hopeless situations. They were like tress planted by the streams of water. YOU CAN BE, TOO. Ps. 1:2-3 Are you full yet?

If you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior simply say in an audible voice, in all sincerity from the depths of your heart, "Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me of my sins and accept me as Your child. I accept You as my personal Savior and I promise to follow the instructions of Your Word from this day on. If I fail because I am human, please help pick me up so I can try again! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me from all my sins. AMEN."

One is set free to serve the almighty God; They are set free for a demostration of God's power in their lives;

WELCOME To Pastor Dr. Carlotta Boles Counseling Center.

This is a very special subject to me because I was set FREE IN 1994! IN PRISON!! Afterward I wrote the Book BREAKOUT, How I Escaped From Satan, Now I Am On The Run, Running From Glory to Glory! I have been helping others ever since, PRAISE GOD!

There are many ways to obtain deliverance, and deliverance ministers teach various different methods. There is no set procedure. The following are eight of the most effective ways to be set free.

For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

The word saved in the Greek is "Sozo". Its all-inclusive meaning is: saved, healed, delivered, and made whole. So, calling on the name of the Lord can deliver you, save you, and heal you. To this end, the greatest prayer is, Jesus help me, set me free. Deliverance is the children's bread. Matt. 15:26.

It belongs to us because we are the children of God. In Obadiah 17, the prophet says, "But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions." Mount Zion is where the people of God are set free and obtain the promises of God.

He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction. Psalms 107:20

You can be delivered and healed through the Word of God, by reading the Word, by hearing the Word, and by declaring the Word, because Jesus is the Word of God and He is in His Word to perform it. On our recent trip to Daytona Beach Florida, there was a man who had many spirits of violence. This man went about the room punching the chairs and being destructive.

We commanded the spirits to be bound. The man fell to the floor growling like an animal. I had a helper read all the 8th Psalm, and while he was reading it, the violent man grew calm. When he arose from the floor, I told him to read these three psalms, the 18th, the 27th, and the 91st everyday in order to be set free from violence and the animalistic spirit.

How could he have an animalistic spirit? He could have developed an inordinate affection for some animal or could even had have sex with some animal. We have cast dog, cat, and, horses spirits out of people. Often when these spirits come out, they make sounds like the animal they represented in the person-barking like a dog, meowing like a cat or neighing like a horse.

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. If God is near you, the devil runs far away. Makes sense.

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues. Marl 16:17

This is a prophecy, a declaration, and a command. Jesus wants us to follow Him. He wants us to cast out demons, speak in new tongues, and lay hands on the sick for healing. Notice that the first sign is casting out demons. If you are a believer and you are not casting out demons, you are missing something. You should be casting demons out of your own temple first, then out of other's temples.

As in the old song, you should say to yourself, "It's me, it's me, Oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer." I know so many people who say, "It's my wife, who needs deliverance." But all the while, they themselves need to get right with God and obtain deliverance.

When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7

So, make your was pleasing unto the Lord, Die to the old nature, die to your flesh, because no demon can live in dead flesh. People sometimes ask me this question: What percentage of people need deliverance? I tell them about 8 out of ten at one time or another need deliverance, but I also say that if you are really dead to self, you will not be open to demonic oppression.

Demons don't want to live in dead flesh. They want to live in out carnal nature in order to do their work. The trouble with some people is that they want to do what they want to do because they like doing what they want to do. I explain this to all my Clients. About 90% of the time a person's problem comes from his carnal nature and not demons at all.

We cannot delivered a person from his flesh. I wish we could. That would easily solve a great many problems, but flesh has to be crucified.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Gal. 2:20.

Acrucified life, one that is dead to the Holy Spirit, how could an evil spirit be in me? There might be some areas of your life that you have not given to the Lordship of Jesus. Some areas where you have not repented which have to be dealt with.

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7

Here is a great way to be delivered that is a joy to the Lord. Singing songs of praise and worship can bring deliverance. As you speak or sing praise offered to God. So, when we praise the Lord, we are binding principalities and powers, sending demon spirits running in all different directions. Notice that all His saints have this honor. It's an honor for us to be able to cast out demons.

If you need deliverance, the first thing I recommend is to sing praise to our God. Especially if you are feeling low or depressed, let the high praises to god come forth. Talk to your soul as David did in the Psalms when he said,"Bless the Lord O my soul" Psalm 103. Change your thoughts, change your mind, by singing a beautiful hymn.

Blessed be the Lord my rock who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle. Ps. 144:1

Knowing what it says in Eph. 6, that the Shield of Faith will quench the fiery dart of the wicked one. Psalm 18:34 says that He will train my hands to war and my voice. The Holy Spirit instructs me to lay hands on others which brings about healing!

Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Acts. 19:11-12

You can be healed or delivered by the use of prayer cloths. I have received wonderful testimonies from people who have used these prayer cloths. A doctor's wife put one in her husband's pillow case. Within a month he stopped drinking and began going to church with her. I gave to an Italian named Franco who claimed that he had seven familiar spirits who spoke to him. He said that the prayer cloth burned him all night as he was delivered by wearing the prayer cloth.

We can relate to you many cases where God honored the use of prayer cloths. However, we I tell people they must remember that it is only a piece of cloth, and to not to make it something holy or magical. It is the Word of God in Acts 19:11,12 that is activated when the prayer cloth comes in contact with the person for whom it is intended.

AMEN."  GO AND BE BLESSED!!!!

SERMON:  PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT!  THE MINISTRY WANTS TO HERE FROM YOU!  May this Sermon speak LIFE, TRUTH to you!   A prayer follows this Sermon.   Go and be Blessed!:)

ADDICTIONS: (drugs alcohol, cigarettes, food, etc.) ROMANS 8:15; 2 PETER 2:19

SERVANT OF CORRUPTION: LUKE 8:26-29; JOHN 8:34; ACTS 8:23; ROMANS 6:16; 7:23

This strongman usually works very closely with the spirit of fear which we will consider in this HUB. "For ye have not received the spirit bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father" Romans 8:15.

In a normal family relationship one of the most heartwarming times of the day is when the father returns home from work and his little boy or girl comes running up crying, "daddy, daddy" and jumps into his arms. The father may be the director of a huge corporation or the President of the United States, but it doesn't matter, to the little child he is just plain "daddy."

This is the kind of relationship God longs to have with us; that of a loving Father gathering us to Himself, loving us with an everlasting Love.

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you FREE" John 8:31, 32. We receive freedom to live life as it should be lived, without bondage of any kind, when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior and believe His Word.

The sinner looks at that and says sorrowfully, "I can't accept Christ because there is so much I have to give up." And it is true the sinner must give up certain things. The mistake the sinner makes, however, is in the VALUE he places on those things he must relinquish. A good illustration of this would be a fly, freshly caught and expertly wrapped up by a spider.

The fly says, "At last I have a comfortable place to stay. I don't have to waste my energy flying around any more. This really isn't such a bad life." "But friend," we remind him, "there's a huge spider that is about to have you for supper. When he gets done with you all that will be left is a shell.

"No, this is a great life. Leave me alone! I'm happy living like this." And the sinner swings back and forth, tightly bound by habits and addiction that keep him anchored on Satan's web. The end of it all for him is death, eternal separation from God and heaven.

Only as the light of God's Word reveals hs true condition can the victim see that the little pleasure he receives isn't worth the price of staying on the web; that he need to be freed from the terrible web of sin. When he cries out to the Lord, Jesus cuts him off the web in an instant. THEN he sees what the situation was really like and sights with relief, "I'm so glad to be free from Satan. How sweet it is to live for Jesus!

Paul tells God's people to, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage" Galatians 5:1. If there is anything more pitiful than seeing someone bound on Satan's web, it is to see that same individual crawl back up on the web after Christ has made him FREE!

To have tasted of freedom of God and then return to Satan's bondage is mind-boggling, but it happens. Why? Because TOTAL bondage does not happen in one day. It is a series of steps taken to satisfy the desires of the flesh until suddenly, the individual realize he is back on the web again and it is too late!

That is the reason I emphasize so strongly throughout this HUB the need of following the Word, not our feelings. If we are going to rule and reign with Christ we must stop doing those things that lead us into bondage to the beggarly elements of this world system.

ADDICTION: Some of the manifestations of the spirit of bondage are: addiction of any kind, such as drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, food, television, video games, pornography and unnatural sex acts. The other extreme of addiction to food is anorexia nervosa; self-induced starvation. Rock music has an addictive quality which is destructive in addition to the unwholesome message it usually spotlights.

In short, as the name implies, anything which binds us so that we become involuntary slaves, falls under the category of a spirit of bondage.

ALCOHOLISM: Alcoholism is probably the most prominent and popular addiction in our world today. It is classified as a disease by some medical authorities, but GOD'S WORD DOES NOT SUPPORT THAT DISGNOSIS!!!!!! Paul informs us in I Corinthians 6:10 that drunkards shall not inherit the kingdom of God. The only reason God permits anyone to go to Hell is because of their sin. So apparently God considers drunkenness to be a SIN, NOT A DISEASE!

The statistics relating to alcoholism are incredible! Alcohol is the number two public health problem in America today, and is getting more serious! Ten million Americans are alcoholics and 20 million more are high risk drinkers. Seven of ten Americans use alcohol as a beverage.

One third of those who call themselves evangelicals drink alcohol, as do half of all ministers! Estimated that alcohol causes or contributes directly to 205,000 deaths each year in the United States. Alcohol is a major cause of divorce, wife abuse and child molesting. The cost to industry is estimated at $63 billion annually.

In the last ten years, 250,000 people have been killed in alcohol-related car accidents. Alcohol is responsible for one-half of all homicides and one-third of all suicides. The life span of an alcoholic is shortened by 10-12 years. If alcoholism is a disease, it is the only one on earth that is spread by advertising!

In spite of the terrible carnage, destruction, grief and loss, alcoholic drinks are extolled on billboards, in magazines and newspapers, and on radio and television as a product that EVERYONE should imbibe. If alcoholism is a disease why don't the authorities stamp out the virus that cause it?

When Polio was a epidemic, the medical world swung into action and discovered a vaccine to halt the dreaded disease. But right now an even more virulent epidemic is raging and virtually nothing is being done. Every year 120,000 men, women and children are crippled in wrecks caused by drunk drivers.

For the most part our courts let most of the drunk drivers off with a slap on the wrist. Some drunk have been convicted repeatedly before they kill someone. Even drunk drivers who kill people often go without any meaningful punishment. Can you see them swinging in the breeze on Satan's web? And they think we are crazy because we don't like spiders!

Note the statistic that one-third of those who call themselves evangelicals drink alcohol as do ONE-HALF of ALL ministries. Just reading the above statistic should convince any Christian that alcohol must be shunned as if it were a coiled rattlesnake. In fact, that is Solomon's advice in Proverbs 23:31-32, "Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, at the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder."

For those who rest their case on Paul's admonition to Timothy that he " use a little wine for thy stomach's sake" I Timothy 5:23, we would respectfully draw their attention to Paul's command in I Corinthians 5:11 to not even keep company or eat with a Christian who drinks to excess. And observe the list that Paul lumps them together with in verse 11; fornication, covetous, idolaters, railers and extortioners.

ANOREXIA NERVOSA: Anorexia nervosa is a form of bondage that has only surfaced in the past 10-15 years. "Anorectics, as they are called, have a low self-esteem and are especially sensitive to the many stressful changes of adolescence. They are usually compulsive exercisers and talk a lot about how fat they're becoming when they actually look like they're starving to death.

Occasionally they step out of character and fall into a separate but definitely related ailment that is called bulimia, which is characterized by binge-eating and deliberate purging or laxative taking immediately afterwards." It is not necessary to go through ALL the manifestations of the spirit of bondage, but we do want to establish that it is extremely dangerous to get hung up on Satan's web. If you have tendencies toward this kind of behavior, please understand that God wants to deliver you and give you the freedom you desire!

RELIGIOUS BONDAGE: I should also mention that many of the religious cults, such as the Unification Church of Sun Myung Moon, better known as the Moonies, the Hare Krishnas, the church of Scientology and the Jim Jones-like organizations as well as the more respectable sects, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, fall under this STRONGMAN!

Any practice, religion or organization which use FEAR to keep its members under control or that ties them to a set of rules contrary to the Word Of God is usually inspired by the spirit of bondage. It is simple to note them because God offer us freedom NOT BONDAGE!

THE FEAR OF DEATH: The fear of death is a form of bondage according to Hebrews 2:15. "who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." You see, Satan HAD the power of death, but he doesn't anymore where Christians are concerned. When Jesus died he descended into the place of the unrighteous dead and took they keys of Hell and Death. Revelation 1:18. Now Paul assures the believer that to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD! II Corinthians 5:8. There is nothing to be afraid of!

It doesn't matter what your problem may be, Jesus is ready to set you FREE! The only thing we must be willing to do is give up our life of sin, acknowledge that we are sinners and ask for God's pardon. Then the spirit of bondage can be bound once and for ALL! Please believe me, I was there and now I AM SET FREE!!!!!!

"Dear Father, I come to You realizing that only You can free me from the web of Satan. Thank you for Your great Love for me. I desire to call You 'Abba Father' and feel Your arms of Love wrapped around me so I won't have to seek love out of a bottle or any of the other false hopes Satan has dangled before my eyes; promising so much and delivering so little. Forgive me of my sins and I rpomise to serve You the rest of my life." Thank you Jesus for your beautiful FREEDOM!

Satan, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and bind your spirit of bondage according to Matthew 18:18 that states, " whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: I see you now as you really are; a spiritual spider trying to bind and paralyze me with your cords of habits and bondage. I command you in the Name of Jesus to leave me alone and never return!!!!!!
